25 Beautiful Homes - July 2026

It was wonderful to see one of my lampshades pictured on the cover of this magazine. It features an amazing house in Bembridge, belonging to the artist Bridget Lansley.

when I met Bridget, she had already created the main elements of her home’s interiors, based around a neutral backdrop and then overlaid with 4 main colours - blue, green, yellow and orange.

She was drawn to 2 of my designs, Sea Star and Sea Anemone, which worked well as stand alone patterns against the Blithfield fabrics she’d chosen for the blinds, curtains and headboards.

I created bespoke lampshades in pairs for every room, working out which size and shape would work best for her lampbases. Then I mixed inks to print them in colours to compliment her colour scheme.

Lampshades were a really fun way to add a pop of colour and layer pattern to create this vibrant coastal look.
